This is a page from RAAKs promotional digital magazine which is due out in November 2013.

The final magazine will include animations and flythroughs as well as recent work. The magazine will be an example of how an interative magazines can be good for learning as well as promoting services and products.

What can 3D do for you? Of course the interactive dynamic nature of 3D is useful in the new tech world but there are other less obvious benefits. Once an object / illustration is created it can become part of a library of bespoke elements that can be reused in new ways.

Bring articles to life with an intro animation or use it to help describe a complex process. A mix of 3D and still images can work together well. Other angles or parts of the illustration can appear within the article as still illustrations.

Editorial animation

Pupils/students can view animations by scrolling backwards and forwards and pausing in order to read the embedded information.

Educational

flythrough

One of 12 animations produced for the International Property Awards used as backrops for the award ceromonies celebrating the best in architecture and building services across Europe. The final animation stretching up to 20m across the venue stages.

Initial illustrations were produced (as above) for promotional print material and then, because they were produced using 3D software, it was a natural progression to produce the animations.
